Wesley provides a full range of services designed especially for women, from routine outpatient checkups to specialized treatment of the most serious diseases. Wesley’s women’s services prioritize sensitivity, privacy, education and patient involvement in decision-making.
WESLEYCare Breastfeeding Clinic is a walk-in clinic, free of charge to women whose babies were born at Wesley. Wesley’s team of consultants and nurses can help mothers “latch on” the baby comfortably, find the best position for feeding, weigh the baby, make a family breastfeeding plan, monitor milk supply, assist with breast problems, prepare for return to work or school, instruct on how to store breast milk safely and help with other concerns and questions about breastfeeding. A one-time chart initiation fee of $50 is required for women who did not deliver at Wesley. Private, after-hours appointments are available; a few may apply. WesleyCare Women’s Clinic provides a wide range of services for women in Wichita. Among their services are well-woman exams, pregnancy and post-pregnancy care, diagnosis and treatment of menstrual disorders, menopause, breast and uterine disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, nutrition, anemia and general health concerns. A Kansas native, Dr. O’Hara earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at Wesley Medical Center. Dr O’Hara completed her Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified in Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
