From Wesley’s establishment of the area’s first maternity annex in 1915 to the recent development of the state’s only pediatric emergency department, Wesley is renowned for its broad range of advanced pediatric services. KU Wichita Pediatrics offers a wide variety of services for children from birth through age 18. Our physicians are board certified in Pediatrics and are on the Pediatric Faculty at the KU School of Medicine–Wichita. Under the supervision of our faculty physicians, care is also provided by pediatric residents as well as mid-level providers such as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. The Pediatric Center of Kansas includes the offices of pediatric subspecialist physicians, including those who specialize in diseases of the heart, and lungs; as well as infectious diseases, developmental problems, allergies, diabetes, endocrinology, genetic counseling and psychology.
